According to Hootsuite, TikTok is the seventh most used social network in the world while its monthly active users are 100 million in just the United States alone. The app’s reach should not be underestimated, especially when trying to connect with younger target audiences considering 48% of United States adults ages 18 to 29 years old use TikTok.
Now that you know some statistics about the importance of businesses using TikTok to reach young adult audiences, you probably want to start creating content for the app. But, how do you go about making your first TikTok? That is exactly what Vimeo is trying to help small businesses do. Vimeo is a video website where you can create, manage, and promote your video content. Vimeo offers templates for different social media platforms, like TikTok, to make video creation easier. Vimeo has over 200 million creators on their app, and you could be one of them.
Recently, Vimeo became the first company to partner with TikTok. This partnership gives small businesses access to creative tools while also encouraging them to use the vast audience availability on TikTok.
Tests prior to the release have proven this partnership to be effective. In these tests, participants doubled the number of videos they created. While reach was up to 50% higher, clickthrough rates compared to other campaigns.
According to the Marketing News article “Vimeo becomes first video software company to partner with TikTok”, the head of ecosystem partnerships at TikTok said, “As small businesses recover and rebuild after a challenging year, TikTok is working on ways to make it easier to reach their community and grow their business. Our partnership with Vimeo provides small businesses with simple, effective video tools that rival what the biggest brands in the world have access to — and they drive real results.
Vimeo’s website mentions the success of the small business NaturalAnnie Essentials. The soy and lifestyle company uses Vimeo to create videos for TikTok while “saving CEO Annya White-Brown thousands of dollars on video production.” In a two-week campaign, NaturalAnnie Essentials received 200,000 impressions and 6 times more conversions than previous campaigns before Vimeo.
Vimeo gives four simple tips on how to make “thumb-stopping” videos like NaturalAnnie Essentials’ videos.
