12 Dec Case Study: Non Profit Organizations and Marketing Online
Driving visitors to your website and increasing your social media followers is exciting. But how do you turn those visitors into donors, volunteers or clients? How do you use social media to fulfill your non profit organization’s mission?
One of our clients took the plunge to invest in inbound marketing. They found with a mix of blogging, social media and now video they have reached new audiences, increased donations and increased the number of people who come to them for services.
It started two years ago when New Beginnings International Children’s and Family Services offered us an opportunity to talk to them about their non profit advertising plans. Other marketing agencies in the area had focused their presentations on traditional media outlets–something the organization still felt was important–but no one mentioned the opportunities they had to capitalize on online audiences.
When they chose to focus their non profit marketing efforts on inbound marketing, they were all in. Their successful inbound marketing plan (which continues to expand into new online media) is due to their willingness to involve all employees in crafting the ideas for blog posts, social media updates and email campaigns. (We even wrote about how their blog lead to exposure through a national news wire.)
